As an Electrical/Power Systems Engineer you will assist in developing Power distribution solutions and safety circuitry, transitioning systems from AC medium voltage to DC lower voltage, support the hardware development lifecycle for multiple instrument projects, and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in developing Power distribution solutions and safety circuitry, transitioning systems from AC medium voltage to DC lower voltage
Support the hardware development lifecycle for multiple instrument projects, contributing from initial concept through production
Collaborate within cross-functional teams to help define architectures, systems designs, and product specifications
Maintain clear communication on project status and technical progress with internal teammates
Participate in customer-facing meetings to ensure design alignment with project requirements
Coordinate with senior engineers to ensure products meet technical requirements and delivery schedules
Partner with procurement and senior engineering staff to select and purchase appropriate project materials
Support technicians and field engineers during system startup and initial testing
Design and review electrical drawings using SOLIDWORKS Electrical
Conduct market research and component evaluations to inform hardware selection
Aid in the review of safety designs and system certifications (e.g., Semi S2, NFPA) before production release
Document findings by writing technical reports and presenting results to the team
Design cable harnesses to ensure integrated system functionality
Requirements:
Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering
Recent graduates (0-2 years’ experience)
Highly self-motivated with an eagerness to learn how to design, analyze, and test complex systems
Basic understanding of electrical codes (e.g., NFPA, NEC, or Semi S2/S8) is a plus
Understanding of networking basics, including subnets and IP assignments
Proficiency or academic experience with CAD tools (e.g., SOLIDWORKS Electrical or AutoCAD)
Strong technical writing and verbal skills for effective interaction with global teams and suppliers
Nice to have:
Basic understanding of electrical codes (e.g., NFPA, NEC, or Semi S2/S8)
