We're looking for passionate individuals to join a new demonstrator project that is shaping the future of sustainable aviation by advancing the aircraft electrification roadmap. This project will focus on the challenges and opportunities of High Voltage Electrical Systems, which are essential for next-generation, low-emission aircraft part of Airbus ambition to electrify the skies. As part of a fast-paced, agile team, you will help create a unique, state-of-the-art test facility from the ground up. Your mission will be to explore novel HV technologies at their limits and beyond, generating invaluable data and learnings needed to build the robust and reliable aircraft of tomorrow by safely testing the unsafe. Job Responsibility

  • Team Leadership: Manage and guide a squad of System Engineers
  • Innovation & IP Generation: Drive the creation of Intellectual Property
  • HV Architecture Design: Define the overall Electrical & Control architecture for the SUT
  • Techno Development & Supplier Steering: Define the required evolution of selected prototypes
  • Write technical specifications and steer suppliers & partners
  • Non-Propagation Strategy & Failure Containment: Define the specific isolation barriers and protection mechanisms
  • Integration: Plan, implement and oversee functional and multi-system components V&V, and component integration

Requirements

  • Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Electrical System Architecture, preferably in Aerospace (E-VTOL, Hybrid-Electric) or high-performance Automotive (EV)
  • Innovation Track Record: A good history of technical innovation
  • Proven capability to turn engineering challenges into patentable solutions
  • Previous patent filings are a plus
  • Ability to translate abstract research goals (e.g: “Non-Propagation”) into concrete designs & solutions
  • Passion about technology & science
  • Leadership: Experience leading engineering squads
  • Capability to steer internal / external suppliers / partners from selection until entry into service
  • Professional network including industrial players, research institutions, consultants, regulators
  • Language: English at negotiation level
  • Spanish would be an advantage

  • Architect software-defined EW and radar solutions, specifying critical HW/SW partitioning, reconfigurability, and processing pipelines

  • Work closely with systems engineering, mechanical, thermal, power, and vehicle integration teams to manage trade-offs and ensure integration readiness
