Job Description

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in all electrical aspects of building and maintaining our 42-mile Dune Express conveyor system. The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for adhering to all OSHA and MSHA standards while performing all job duties.

Job Responsibility

Lead your team in safety complying with OSHA, MSHA, and Atlas policies and procedures
Work with outside Engineering firms to design new electrical equipment
Travel to various vendor locations and for audits and meetings. This will be more so during the design and construction phase
Review, understand, redline, and update electrical schematics, drawings, one lines, e-houses layouts, etc.
Lead a team of field electricians on day-to-day task such as inspections, PMs, trouble shooting, reporting, etc.
Review and approve time sheets, vacation request, POs and invoices
Attend training and certification courses required by the company
Developing, maintaining, and reporting on budgets both for OPEX and CAPEX
Engaging with third party vendors for quotes and lead times
Comply with OSHA and MSHA standards and annual testing on electrical equipment
In conjunction with senior supervision, may plan, staff, and organize field/shop positions
Interacts with project management, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and schedule
Responsible for resolving direct report’s issues (lack of productivity, safety, quality, work interfaces, rework etc.) as required
Assist in obtaining personnel through Human Resources/Recruiting or network (as necessary)
Assess work completion. Create punch lists
Advise senior level supervision of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Journeyman Electrical License with minimum 5 years industrial experience
Minimum 5 years field leadership in industrial electrical
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
reach with hands and arms
and talk or hear
Required to stand
walk
and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit and climb or balance
Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Capable of working Monday through Friday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
Must be able to tolerate working conditions associated with no air conditioning or heat
