As an Electrical Superintendent, you will play a crucial role on our Plant Management Team, tasked with developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive electrical programs to ensure peak equipment reliability and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the Electrical Department, championing workplace safety, driving project planning, and leading our electrical initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive sawmill electrical experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to build and optimize our electrical systems and preventative programs. Ensuring full compliance with environmental permits, government regulations, and corporate policies

Working alongside senior management to strategize equipment and technological enhancements
Developing, implementing, and refining effective preventative electrical maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and longevity
Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial sawmilling electrical maintenance, including significant supervisory experience
Trade certification as an Electrician, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Proven expertise in safety management, leadership, and team development
Proficiency with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), instrumentation, and HMI programming
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a talent for fostering cohesive, high-performing teams
A deep understanding of optimization equipment, processes, and business acumen
Extensive experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and preventative maintenance program development
Nice to have:
Extensive experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), PLC communications, and controls is considered an asset
