We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Superintendent to take the lead on commercial construction projects from start to finish. In this role, you’ll oversee field crews, coordinate with project managers and general contractors, and ensure every job is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site field or shop operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within scope. This role provides hands-on technical and practical direction for all construction activities while maintaining compliance with safety standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations. The Superintendent leads field teams, oversees subcontractors, coordinates with project management and general contractors, and ensures all permits, inspections, and materials are properly managed. Additionally, this position supports workforce planning, mentoring, and collaboration across multiple projects to achieve successful project delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor compliance with corporate/project safety program requirements and interface with Safety Managers
Adhere to project schedule and orchestrate timely and quality project completion within budget
Provide pertinent information and trade specific information to the GC in the development of the project schedule
Cooperate with project management and maintain open lines of communication regarding matters concerning project budget, productivity, change orders, quality control and customer satisfaction
Execute, supervise and maintain CPMI
Lead daily and weekly scope of work activities
Requisition, maintain and account for tools, materials and equipment
Monitor progress, performance and quality of work for subcontractors and major equipment suppliers
Manage book of business with Operations Superintendent with multiple projects
Constant collaboration with Operations and GC’s
Ensure required permits and/or licenses are obtained and posted
Coordinate required jurisdictional inspections
Provide required training, mentoring, coaching and leadership for field personnel
Day-to-day coordination of field/shop work force with Labor Resources
Data entry and maintenance for field work force employee tracking
Select field force staff for new projects with coordination with Operations Superintendent
Coordinate scheduling of specialty crews
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Masters or college/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally required
Expert in field, extensive relevant experience, 15+ years
Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive programs and activities of importance
Demonstrates independent decision-making
Great communication, negotiation and training skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage autonomous individuals, managers and diverse groups giving broader direction
