Requirements

Previous experience in a Service Engineer role with Electrical bias
Relevant electrical qualification such as, City & Guilds 2382, Level 3, electrical engineering degree, 18th Edition is highly desirable
Experience with electrical circuits, control panels, batteries
DC or AC coupled, inverters, metering renewables electrical products
Excellent customer service skills are essential
Strong computer skills, experienced on Microsoft Excel
Flexibility is required for overnight stays
Ideal candidate will be located in Essex

Job Responsibility

Troubleshoot end user technical product issues
Remote monitoring to try to find a solution over the telephone
Management of your own diary to organise weekly site visits to customers homes, and commercial sites
Diagnose, test, repair product issues remotely and at customer, client sites
Provide external and internal technical product training
Liaise internally to order necessary parts to carry out servicing repairs and maintenance

To ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date
To ensure that all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety
To monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment. Record inspection reports
To keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work
To have working knowledge of statutory regulations and to ensure awareness of all safety procedures
To undertake electrical repairs and installations as appropriate
To report any defects at time of service visit
To carry out works specified
To be responsible for vehicle and stock control of materials
