Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting an Electrical Safety Specialist (3850) in Oak Ridge, TN. Job Responsibility

  • Provide technical expertise and oversight related to electrical safety at DOE nuclear and non-nuclear facilities
  • Apply industry and DOE electrical safety standards to evaluate electrical systems, work practices, and procedures
  • Review and assess compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and procedures
  • Support site electrical safety programs, evaluations, and corrective actions
  • Interface with DOE and contractor personnel to ensure compliance with established electrical safety requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Training in industry electrical standards
  • Training in DOE electrical safety standards
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience performing electrical work, including low- and high-voltage systems
  • Demonstrated experience applying electrical standards and procedures, including NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NESC, ASTM, ANSI, and related standards
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting Oak Ridge site operations
  • DOE Q clearance
  • US citizenship
