Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor
Strong background in electrical testing, inspection and domestic/social housing work
Experience supervising operatives and managing multi-site electrical activity
Confidence reviewing and signing off electrical certification
Expert knowledge of BS7671 and electrical compliance requirements
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Comfortable using digital certification and reporting systems
C&G 18th Edition
C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

Job Responsibility

Act as the NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor for designated contracts
Review, validate and sign off electrical certification
Maintain NICEIC accreditation and prepare for annual assessments
Ensure all electrical works comply with BS7671 and all relevant legislation
Complete site inspections, audits and technical evaluations
Lead and support electricians, apprentices and subcontractors across multiple sites
Manage labour allocation, technical resources and first-time fix performance
Provide expert technical guidance to operatives and site teams
Support the planning and delivery of reactive and planned electrical programmes
Drive continual improvement in testing, diagnostic and installation standards

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification (essential)
2391 or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification (essential)
Demonstrable experience as a Qualified Supervisor or EQS within social housing, maintenance, or contracting
Strong understanding of NICEIC processes and compliance frameworks
Excellent communication, organisational, and mentoring skills
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong Health & Safety awareness and understanding of RAMS, permits, and risk assessments

Job Responsibility

Oversee all electrical works and ensure compliance with IET Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and NICEIC requirements
Act as the NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, reviewing, validating, and signing off electrical certification
Manage and maintain NICEIC registration and ensure readiness for annual assessments
Provide technical support and guidance to operatives, supervisors, and clients on electrical installations
Review and approve test certificates, inspection reports, and remedial documentation
Conduct site audits and quality inspections to verify compliance and workmanship
Mentor electricians and apprentices, driving performance, skills development, and first-time fix rates
Support labour allocation, productivity tracking, and resource planning to meet operational targets
Collaborate with clients, supervisors, and contract managers to deliver safe, high-quality work
Promote and uphold Axis’s Health & Safety culture, delivering toolbox talks and ensuring RAMS compliance
