Airswift is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Electrical Inspector to oversee the quality and compliance of electrical installations on large-scale wind projects. The position is to work in Fort Stockton, TX for an initial 12-month contract. The Electrical QA/QC Specialist manages the electrical quality program for onshore wind construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, electrical engineering requirements, and industry standards. The role includes electrical construction oversight, contractor verification, documentation control, and technical support. This position is based on-site, with electrical inspections focused on proper voltage systems and wind farm electrical infrastructure.
Job Responsibility
Implement and manage the electrical QA/QC plan and enforce all electrical safety and HSE requirements
Conduct electrical inspections across wind farm systems, including medium-voltage and high-voltage components, ensuring proper voltage management and safe installation practices
Verify compliance with electrical codes, standards, engineering specifications, and onshore wind electrical requirements
Review contractor electrical documentation and confirm that electrical completion packages meet contractual and technical standards
Prepare and maintain electrical QA/QC reports, test records, and as-built documentation
track and resolve electrical nonconformities
Support updates to internal electrical standards, procedures, and quality policies
Collaborate with Construction, Procurement, electrical engineers, and third-party inspectors to verify electrical deliverables and equipment specifications
Participate in project and commissioning meetings to provide electrical technical support and quality updates
Ensure proper installation, testing, and verification of wind farm electrical systems, including cables, transformers, switchgear, grounding, and collection systems
Oversee electrical contractor activities and ensure proper energization procedures, lock-out/tag-out compliance, and safe work practices
Requirements
Associate degree in electrical engineering, construction management, project management, or equivalent technical field
Must have electrical onshore wind site experience
Strong understanding of electrical systems in wind farms, including proper voltage handling, electrical safety, grounding requirements, and commissioning processes
Familiarity with electrical codes, industry standards, and best practices for high-voltage and medium-voltage systems
Minimum 5 years of electrical QA/QC experience in onshore wind and at least 8 years of overall electrical or construction QA/QC experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, CPM scheduling software, and Adobe Acrobat
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
U.S. work authorization and ability to work on-site at project locations

Experience with electrical testing (megger, hipot, terminations, torqueing, continuity verification)
Ability to produce executive-level reporting and manage tasks under tight deadlines
Previous experience supporting commissioning teams during energization and integration
