Job Description:

Seeking an Electrical Purchasing Agent with commercial electrical construction purchasing or procurement experience. The Electrical Purchasing Agent will play a vital role in managing vendor relationships and ensuring cost-effective procurement to support our client's project management and field teams effectively.

Job Responsibility:

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate blanket purchase agreements with key electrical suppliers
Establish and maintain blanket purchase agreements with key electrical suppliers
Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contract terms
Negotiate cost-saving early payment term discounts and track generated savings
Provide accurate and competitive pricing to the estimating department for bids and proposals
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and finance to align purchasing strategies with business goals
Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies with vendors

Requirements:

Proven experience in electrical purchasing or procurement within the commercial construction sector
Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills
Familiarity with blanket agreements and early payment discount structures
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
