Job Description

Seeking an Electrical Purchasing Agent with commercial electrical construction purchasing or procurement experience. The Electrical Purchasing Agent will play a vital role in managing vendor relationships and ensuring cost-effective procurement to support our client's project management and field teams effectively.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate blanket purchase agreements with key electrical suppliers
  • Establish and maintain blanket purchase agreements with key electrical suppliers
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contract terms
  • Negotiate cost-saving early payment term discounts and track generated savings
  • Provide accurate and competitive pricing to the estimating department for bids and proposals
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and finance to align purchasing strategies with business goals
  • Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies with vendors

Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical purchasing or procurement within the commercial construction sector
  • Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills
  • Familiarity with blanket agreements and early payment discount structures
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
