We are looking for a Electrical and Instrumentation Project Engineer to join our dynamic project team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on a newly awarded NPI EPC project located near Newman, WA.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and coordinate electrical construction scopes from design review through to installation and handover
Oversee subcontractors and direct-hire crews to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to specification
Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical queries
Support development and execution of construction plans, work packs, and methodologies
Monitor progress against schedule and budget, identifying and resolving risks and constraints
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available
Ensure all electrical works comply with project standards, Australian Standards, and Rio Tinto requirements
Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and records
Actively contribute to HSE leadership, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (recognised by IEAust)
3+ years’ experience in the mining/mineral processing or oil and gas sector
Thorough knowledge and practical application of relevant industry codes of practice
Ability to rapidly understand and assimilate project and client specific requirements
Advanced knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices
Advanced experience with development of technical engineering documents, drawings, schedules, and models
Innovative and flexible approach to problem solving, an ability to analyse and resolve complex issues
