Job Description

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to join a fast-growing renewable energy company focused on commercial and industrial (C&I) solar projects. You will be responsible for the technical planning and design of photovoltaic systems, ensuring compliance with German electrical standards (VDE) and best practices for AC & DC systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and plan C&I solar PV systems, including AC & DC network layouts
  • Develop single-line diagrams, system specifications, and technical drawings
  • Ensure compliance with VDE standards and other relevant German regulations
  • Perform feasibility studies, load calculations, and site assessments
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and installation teams
  • Support continuous improvement in planning, design, and grid connection processes

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
  • Experience in planning and designing solar PV systems for C&I projects
  • Strong expertise in AC & DC systems, grid connection, and VDE-compliant design
  • Familiarity with software tools such as PV*SOL, AutoCAD, PVSyst, or similar
  • Independent, structured, and detail-oriented work style
  • Fluency in German (technical communication) and English
