The Company is a regulated IDNO, IGT and owners of an independent water network which specialise in larger, urban, high density mixed residential connections. They are an asset owner / adopter as opposed to a connections provider and work in partnership with various national ICPs and contractors to deliver connections on behalf of developers. The Role: As the Electrical Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the company’s assets via the management of site contractors. In this role, you’ll be required to set up, monitor and review contracts ensuring standards of service and key performance indicators are reported to the Director.
Job Responsibility:
Fully understand the contracts and service deliverables which are in place across the portfolio
Provide support to the Head of Operations Energy on all site operational and maintenance activities
Manage all day to day aspects of High and Low Voltage Electrical Networks, both regulated and private
Provide financial management and monitoring of all planned and ad-hoc works undertaken on the companies behalf
Raise and monitor all required purchase orders, identifying variances when they occur in a timely manner
Ensure that business processes cover contractor activities and assessments are in place and complied with in line with auditing requirements
Work with the Project Delivery and Connections team to ensure that new assets are handed over with all relevant records, agreements and contracts in place and to an adoptable standard
Work in accordance with company distribution safety rules to ensure all requirements are in place to deliver safe energisation of networks
Ensure site inspections and contractor checks are in place and sufficient for business purposes
Ensure all sub-contracted services are delivered to the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental standards
Take responsibility and accountability for preventative and reactive maintenance needs, ensuring that standards of service are maintained aligned with business and regulatory requirements
Work in accordance with company processes for managing the day-to-day asset management system
Requirements:
Experience within the Operations and Maintenance of Electrical Networks
Good knowledge of the utility industry
Proven track record of the management of electricity assets, sub-contractors and utility portfolios
Good working knowledge of high/low voltage electricity power distribution network operation, maintenance and management
Working familiarity with H&S management and audit
Understanding of regulatory standards applicable to the business and the processes required to be compliant with them
