This role will see you cover the operational teams across England & Wales. You’ll help to provide day-to-day technical support and guidance for the operational side of the business as well as being responsible for ensuring all the projects have been completed to company and industry standards.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure business processes and activities are compliant with industry standards as well as company policies & procedures
Review electrical programmes of work weekly to ensure work activities are compliant with operational requirements
Ensure operatives have the correct authorisation to work on projects and ensure enough work has been scheduled with satisfactory detail as part of their work instruction
Take on Health and Safety responsibilities for on and off site activities with regard to the companies, staff, independent installers, client staff and the general public
Provide day-to-day electric technical support and guidance for Senior Management teams, business development managers, designers, project managers etc
Assume the role of NERS Authorising Officer
Lead the electrical operational competency process ensuring the operational teams comply with the relevant legislation, group policies and procedures
Assume a leading role in supporting operations when dealing with electrical technical works like 11kV substation connections and complex commercial connections
Carry out all substation testing and commissioning along with DNO pressure tests, CT panel testing and commissioning works
Provide support for the company’s training and development plan including the delivery of training courses and briefings
Fulfil required NERS roles as required by the company
Requirements:
IOSH or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety
Demonstrate working knowledge of CDM regulations
Experience for HV Pressure testing up to 33KV and Substation Commissioning
Relevant demonstrable knowledge and experience to act as authorising officer under NERS accreditation scheme for operations and cable jointing up to 33kV
