We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of electrical systems within residential and commercial type properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, hands-on experience with electrical maintenance procedures, and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly.
Job Responsibility:
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems in residential and commercial properties
Identify and address potential issues to prevent breakdowns and ensure the safety and reliability of electrical equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in a timely and efficient manner
Execute necessary repairs, replacements, or upgrades to electrical components and systems
Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Implement safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
Create and update documentation related to electrical systems and equipment
Collaborate with other maintenance professionals, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate and execute electrical projects
Communicate effectively with property owners, tenants, and management regarding maintenance schedules and updates
Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues, providing quick and effective solutions to minimize downtime and potential hazards
Participate in the planning and execution of electrical system upgrades and installations to meet evolving property needs and technology advancements
Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices
Provide training and guidance to junior staff or property occupants on electrical safety measures and best practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems within high-rise residential developments
Competent in carrying out EICR testing, completing certification, and ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations and safety standards
Strong fault-finding skills on electrical systems including lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, and lighting control systems
Experience working with and supporting BMS/EMS (Building / Energy Management Systems), including monitoring, basic programming support, and fault diagnosis
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications relevant to complex residential buildings
Conduct regular inspections and planned preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability, resident safety, and minimal downtime
Knowledge of safe working practices in occupied buildings, including permit systems and coordination with other trades and facilities teams
