Job Description:

This is a critical role ensuring the 24/7 operational continuity of a major facility. If you enjoy technical variety and a shift pattern that offers significant time off, this is for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • PPM & Reactive Repairs: Maintaining lighting, power distribution, and small power
  • Critical Systems: Monitoring and basic fault finding on UPS systems, generators
  • Compliance: Conducting emergency lighting testing and fire alarm checks
  • Teamwork: Working alongside mechanical engineers to troubleshoot HVAC plant, pumps, and motors. Chance to learn FM systems

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
  • 17/18th Edition
  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK

  • Follow good engineering standards and good hygiene practice for the department
  • Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety guidelines, highlighting possible areas of improvement to the Engineering Shift Manager / Principal Engineer
  • Mentor to Level 1 to 3 Maintenance Engineers as well as Apprentices
  • Timely reporting of any Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Issues
  • Follow the communicated escalation route for unscheduled plant downtime and minimise downtime by following a good engineering practice
