This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will work a rotating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm, Monday to Friday, and they need to be flexible to work on call when required.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems including distribution boards, drives, motors, control panels, PLCs, valves, and instrumentation
Fault find, diagnose, and repair electrical issues quickly and safely to minimise downtime
Inspect, test, and commission electrical installations in line with regulations
Install and modify electrical systems, circuits, and control panels
Record maintenance activities using CMMS and maintain accurate documentation
Ensure all work is completed in line with Health and Safety regulations, including safe isolation and risk assessments
Requirements:
Time served Electrical Engineer with Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
Experience working within medium to heavy engineering environments such as foundry or steelworks
Good understanding of electrical systems, wiring regulations, and fault finding
Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
Experience using electrical testing equipment
Flexible to work on call when required

2391 Inspection and Testing
Siemens PLC fault finding or programming
Control panel building experience
Electrical installation work (tray, conduit)
Pneumatics or HV experience
What we offer:
Salary £40,000 – £50,000 dependent on experience
On call allowance plus enhanced overtime rates (1.5x and double time on Sundays)
