Job Description:

Working across multiple sites you will be responsible for testing and repairing equipment, both agricultural and domestic equipment. This is a varied role requiring good electrical knowledge.

Job Responsibility:

  • Planned maintenance in a highly regulated environment
  • Isolates defective equipment from power supply, checks visually for faults, tests mechanical parts for faults, isolates the problem areas and take corrective action to repair the problem
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on equipment by checking for smooth operation of the same and replacing worn and defective parts
  • The installation of electrical systems and associated equipment followed up with the appropriate certification
  • Taking an active part in the on-call system, which may require the applicant to become an authorised person
  • Conform to safety rules and apply good electrical and safety practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 diploma or equivalent
  • C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing would be advantageous but not essential
  • 18th Edition
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required
  • Multi-skilled background with a good understanding of commercial, residential installation – agricultural installation an advantage
  • Must be willing to undertake company standard internal workshops & training
  • Experience of safe working practices
  • Be able to communicate effectively and have flexible approach to work patterns
  • You must possess the ability to use your initiative, exercise attention to detail, work as part of a team and independently, have a high standard of organisation, be able to prioritise and work under pressure.

Nice to have:

  • C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing would be advantageous but not essential
  • agricultural installation an advantage.
