Job Description

RHI Magnesita is seeking a skilled and dependable Electrical Multicraft Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations in East Canton, OH. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical components to ensure optimal plant performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Install and maintain electrical power supply wiring and conduit for equipment such as presses, conveyors, mixers, and air handlers
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Rebuild pumps, gearboxes, and other industrial components
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and skid steers
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Perform welding tasks (preferred but not required)
  • Climb ladders and work in confined spaces as needed
  • Carry tools and materials to workstations regularly
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times
  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs during off-hours when necessary

Requirements

  • Journeyman-level experience or certification in Electrical, Millwright, or Machine Repair (Journeyman card preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues
  • Ability to complete electrical work in compliance with code

Nice to have

Welding experience is a plus
