Job Description:

As an Electrical Integration & Architecture Systems Technical Program Manager, you’ll use your technical expertise to wholistically drive complex problems to completion. You’ll work amongst the team to scope work, plan requirements, identify risks, estimate budgets, and clearly communicate ongoing progress. You’ll work side by side with engineers on a daily basis; your technical expertise, insight and know-how will drive the team forward. Electrical systems architecture spans a diverse range of critical customer-facing attributes, hardware, and software domains. This team will be highly technical in nature and will come from engineering and data centric team environments that have had to deliver the holistic end to end engineering life cycle from ideation through design, engineering, test and ensuring efficient industrialization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive engineering teams towards containment and resolution of issues raised from design reviews, virtual builds, and build events to protect the program’s schedule to start of production (SOP) and ongoing production
  • Partner with teams at various levels of the organization and from different parts of the business to help define and drive a multi-year business capabilities roadmap & strategic vision.
  • Manage open issues list for internal and external projects, driving team to close items on time and at a high level of quality.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to author detailed product requirements and end to end use cases to be used by engineering & design teams.
  • Maintain supplier relationships in collaboration with Supply Chain team to ensure timely deliveries for build events
  • Support key decisions working cross-functionally across engineering, finance, and strategy to reach the right conclusions
  • Effectively present information to technical or non-technical audiences ranging from team level meetings through to Executive briefs and updates
  • Anticipate and manage platform risks, perform trade-offs and identify contingency plan(s) or alternate approaches to mitigate risks and provide strong leadership to team in circumstances where there may be uncertainty or ambiguity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering setting involving complex systems development
  • Detailed knowledge of product development process from design, development, validation and integration
  • Proven experience driving progress on multiple projects across multiple locations and timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise with Jira and Confluence for project management
  • Experience with JAMA for requirements documentation
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business administration
  • Experience in leading product development from concept to deployment
  • Experience launching a product from concept through production, preferably in automotive
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
