Job Description:

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Utilities team in Brisbane. This full-time role supports water and wastewater infrastructure under the Urban Utilities MECS contract.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safely and efficiently performing electrical and instrumentation maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs on water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Supporting minor works and capital installation projects
  • Participating in commissioning and decommissioning of assets and plants
  • Performing planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and providing technical support to engineers, clients, and production teams
  • Collaborating across disciplines to maintain continuous operation of critical infrastructure
  • Contributing to budget management, promoting best practices, supporting apprentices, and upholding a positive, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture

Requirements:

  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience in the Water industry or similar industry (Desirable)
  • Experience with plant and equipment associated with wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations
  • Ability to integrate with and cooperate as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of SCADA
  • National Licence to perform High Risk work (Desirable)
  • Capable of inspection, testing, adjustment and repairs of electrical equipment
  • Instrumentation & Control fault finding ability
  • Willingness to upskill and undertake additional training for ongoing development

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the Water industry or similar industry
  • National Licence to perform High Risk work
