This has created a great opportunity for experienced Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineers (EI&C) to join our water infrastructure team!
Job Responsibility:
Performing electrical and I&C engineering design which includes modelling, engineering drawings, calculations, reports and design criteria to support electrical engineering projects
Performing calculations to analyze and design electrical systems using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software
Assisting in the design of electrical and control systems and the development of drawings, schedules and specifications
Contributing to the development of electrical systems, through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats
Assisting in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables
Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent
Prepare electrical and control system documents by developing construction specifications, drawings and schedules
Assisting in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responding to requests for information, preparing site observation reports, and performing other contract administration tasks
Recognising when technical problems are developing and initiateing appropriate corrective actions
Being available for site visits or project commissioning as required from time to time
Being stationed in a client environment on small secondments when requires
Recognizsing and championing safe working practices in the industry
Requirements:
Tertiary Qualification in Engineering with an emphasis on Electrical or Instrumentation/Controls
Previous experience working in consultancy is a must
Between 3 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position with well-rounded experience in Water and Wastewater projects
Knowledge and experience in LV and MV power systems in Australia
Experience with industry standard power engineering software tools such as PowerCAD, SKM PTW and ETAP
Highly developed communication skills to successfully engage with clients and other stakeholders to achieve mutually successful project outcomes
Be working towards or have achieved CPEng and RPEQ status
Be willing to offer mentorship to junior engineers based on appropriate level of knowledge
Have full work rights to work in Australia
