Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibility:
Translate electrical requirements into system architecture and hardware architecture, detailed interface specifications, and build/test plans
Provide technical expertise for electrical equipment across the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), from order through delivery
Perform electrical analysis and calculations (power distribution, signal integrity, grounding, load flow, etc.)
Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Support fielded test equipment hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Create and review technical drawings, procedures, specifications, statements of work, and Bills of Materials (BOM)
Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, troubleshooting, and resolutions
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cost reductions, and reliability improvements
Requirements:
Years of related experience: 5+ for level 4, 10+ for level 5
Experience testing or troubleshooting electronics or electrical systems
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering
Experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB
Experience with National Instrument’s Lab-View and Test-Stand software
Schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design experience with Altium, Mentor Graphics Siemens, or other drafting CAD tools
Experience utilizing lab electronic testing tools (Digital Multimeter [DMM], Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Function Generator, ...)
Active Security Clearance
