Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

• schematic design and layout of hardware with FPGAs, DDR RAM (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4) memory interfaces, and digital interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, SDIO)
• developing weapons and navigation system hardware

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• An understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design for manufacturing and design for test.
• Knowledge of Siemens Xpedition or similar tools for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis.
• Experience designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, breaking down complex technical problems logically and finding efficient solutions.
• Cross-disciplinary communication skills, working effectively with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
• Team collaboration, offering and receiving feedback constructively, and mentoring junior engineers when needed.

• schematic capture and layout design of digital subsystems and components
• use of lab test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment
• experience designing PCBs/PWBs using Siemens Xpedition or similar tools
