Job Description:

Perform as a critical design team member in electrical systems development and coordination for construction design projects. This position requires interaction with the firm’s project team members (designers and engineers from the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology systems disciplines), as well as architects, consultants, clients, and contractors to identify project requirements, develop engineering concepts, and present options and recommendations in order to meet the project requirements. Demonstrate a trustworthy presence through your professionalism, demeanor, and technical knowledge.

Job Responsibility:

  • Apply strong technical design skills and knowledge to produce accurate and timely project deliverables
  • Support project requirements with client interface, field investigation, basis of design narratives, development of electrical construction design documents that comply with all applicable codes and standards, review submittals, and support the project through construction completion
  • Design projects in Revit and AutoCAD for compliance with city, state, and national building codes, compliance with owner standards, and industry construction standards
  • Meet with and interact with clients and project stakeholders
  • Communicate with manufacturers and contractors to stay abreast of the latest trends and electrical systems technology
  • Coordinate and perform construction administration tasks internally & externally, enabling a successful project outcome

Requirements:

  • Excellent skills designing electrical systems
  • Experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry
  • Working knowledge of current versions of Revit and AutoCAD
  • Ability to apply logic, reasoning, and organizational skills to structure concepts & ideas into deliverables
  • Working knowledge of COMcheck and applicable energy codes
  • Working knowledge with NEC and NFPA Code Standards
  • Working knowledge of Excel, OneNote, Word, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team structure
  • Ability to learn & grow professionally
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic
