Job Description:

JMC Aviation is recruiting Electrical/Avionic Fitters to support ongoing maintenance and production of AW139, AW169, and AW189 helicopters in Venice, Italy. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality rotary-wing aircraft in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform electrical and avionic installations, modifications, and testing on rotary aircraft (AW139, AW169, AW189, NH90)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals
  • Install harnesses, route wiring, and integrate avionic systems to OEM specifications
  • Conduct functional tests to ensure compliance with aircraft safety and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow EASA Part-145/21 procedures
  • Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices and FOD prevention

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ hands-on experience specifically on the AW169 or NH90 helicopters
  • Minimum 3+ years total aircraft maintenance/production experience
  • Right to work in the EU
  • English or Italian language skills

Nice to have:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to high aerospace standards
  • Previous experience in production or final assembly line environments

  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations
  • Accomplishment of maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated LAE Supervisor
  • Work as a team leader and to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft
  • Completion of maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems
  • Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability
  • Supervision of avionic and electrical fitters and the certification of their work
  • Conduct off-aircraft avionic and electrical technical work in Av workshop as required
  • Assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities
  • Maintain aircraft availability levels of >98% at Shawbury (including deployments)
