We’re looking for a curious and motivated Electrical Engineering student to join our substation team as an intern. You’ll get hands-on experience on real high-voltage projects, assist with designs and documentation, and learn from engineers who love to teach. No prior design experience needed—just bring your curiosity, teamwork, and eagerness to jump in.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with the creation and modification of one-line diagrams, conduit schedules, bills of material (BOM), layouts, relay panel arrangements, existing steel drawings, and cable lists for high-voltage substations (32.4–500 kV)
Support the preparation of engineering and construction estimate documents, including yard layouts, plans, section views, and electrical details
Help draft and edit technical specifications for substation equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, and control houses under the guidance of experienced engineers
Collaborate with engineers to support the integration of protection, control, and monitoring systems
Apply field mark-ups to project drawings and perform basic engineering calculations (e.g., voltage drop, CT burden, lighting, short circuit) with supervision and mentorship
Contribute to a collaborative team environment, with flexibility to assist with other tasks or roles as needed to support project goals
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum GPA 2.75)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear communicator with solid interpersonal skills
