Job Description

Airswift is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Estimator I to join our client’s project estimating team in Juno Beach. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and energy projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and managing cost estimates, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with project goals. This position offers exposure to a wide range of technologies including wind, utility-scale solar, distributed solar, energy storage, transmission & distribution lines, substations, water treatment, 5G & fiber, hydrogen, pipelines, and fossil generation.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and prepare detailed project cost estimates (conceptual, preliminary, and definitive)
  • Develop pricing models and perform value engineering analysis
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and analyze project documentation
  • Maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans
  • Present estimates and value engineering options to stakeholders
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
  • Track project costs and variances throughout the lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project design
  • Experience in utility-scale energy projects (renewables, power generation, transmission)
  • Proficiency in value engineering principles
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Master’s or Post-Graduate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business
  • 3+ years of estimating experience and 1+ year in field engineering or construction management
  • Experience with cost estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX)
  • Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6)
