Design electronic devices for automotive applications with a focus on new technologies and new product architecture, considering low-cost, high-reliability and high-volume manufacturing
Create design documentation / Work Products (schematics, PCBs, electrical characteristics, etc.) according to project needs
Perform Circuit calculations, simulations, and verification
Work with various competencies (e.g. SYS, SW, ME, ..) and SME e.g. Senior / Champions & HW Leads / Architects at the Design Development to create robust HW design per the identified requirements and standards
Stick to Electrical Engineering processes as defined in Stages (as applicable) or EOS (as applicable)
Lead or support a Leading Engineer during the development of an Electronic Design for the specified system/subsystem
Perform (as applicable) all necessary Critical Safety Design Analysis at the Hardware level
Perform (as applicable) all necessary Quality Oriented Analysis including Special Characteristics at the Hardware level
Provide guidance and support to the other Competencies during HW development
Support definition of Supplier and product roadmap
Actively support all project meetings and Peer Reviews (at local and global levels)
Provide as a Subject Matter Expert [SME] (as applicable) guidance on requested design changes requests, deviation requests, and escalation reviews related to HW designs
Requirements:
Engineering degree in electrical (or physical) engineering as a graduated, qualified engineer
Master or other appropriate education
Good ECAD design capabilities (schematics and Layout)
Knowledge of Manufacturing design and needs (DFM)
Basics of SW design
Junior with less than 2 years experience in HW development of automotive products
Designer with more than 2 years experience in HW development of automotive products
High-level communication skills
Good English language skills
Target-oriented working style
High level of self-organization
High motivating skills
Good knowledge of MS WORD, EXCEL, and PROJECT
Knowledge of simulation tools like Saber (preferred) and PSpice
Basic on the following ECAD ToolMentor Expedition
