Utilize Sensors processes and specifications to analyze data at the part, subassembly, and assembly levels.
Recommend acceptance or rejection of parts, subassemblies, and assemblies based on historical data and performance specifications.
Perform periodic audits on local data storage and integrity of data to ensure compliance with Sensors processes.
Create various data products (antenna manifold files, gain calibration files, etc.)
Expedite the creation and publishing of data products upon request.
Provide support for any issues with off-site usage of data products or Fleet-accessible repository.
Evaluate incoming material procured for Sensors production including visual inspection, electrical testing, and any other product-specific testing requirements to determine if a part is satisfactory.
Evaluate vendor-provided test data of production-related material including electrical data, RF data, and any other product-specific data and provide recommendations of acceptance or rejection of production-related material including performance impacts of any discovered non-conformances.
Provide production support and recommendations to Sensors production team regarding assembly concerns and complications during assembly of Sensors products.
Assist with troubleshooting during the production and repair of subassemblies and assemblies.
Provide review and redline of performance specifications of Sensors products as related to electrical and RF properties, as necessary.
Provide evaluation of fielded Sensors products for compliance with electrical/RF-related specifications and report any deficiencies or concerns.
Coordinate evaluation and repair of Sensors production-related material, specifically to include electrical and RF parts.
Perform peer review on newly created or revised engineering drawings prior to release. Peer review includes electrical/RF specification review, notes review, and general drawing conformance review.
Provide support to various shipyard and waterfront locations in the testing of various Sensors products. This support includes bench-level testing and platform testing for installed systems.
Perform variety of cable designs (RF, fiber, copper, etc.) within military specification.
Requirements
Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance
Understanding of microwave/RF engineering specifically microwave network analysis and microwave systems
Proficiency with various test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other common laboratory equipment
Proficiency in Matlab or similar toolsets to support data analysis and processing.
Experience working with RF test equipment such as Field Fox, network analyzers (NA), spectrum analyzers (SA), and noise figure meters (NFM)
Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization is required
Exceptional organizational & critical thinking skills, as well as an unwavering attention to detail are required
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
May require up to 10% travel
3-5 years experience with submarine systems
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
BS 0-2 Years
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
