The Senior Engineer supports key business objectives of the assigned plant, focusing on growth, profitability, and innovation. They lead production support, new product core teams, and plant-specific projects to drive these objectives, providing guidance to junior engineers and designers.
Job Responsibility:
Provide troubleshooting and general production floor support for manufacturing issues, serving as a subject matter expert in key plant products and processes
Apply statistical methods, including Design for Six Sigma and Design of Experiments, to enhance production support and process analysis
Lead project management efforts focused on material cost reduction and plant efficiency, offering guidance on project scheduling and execution
Represent the plant as a core team member in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring production deliverables are met efficiently
Execute processes such as Deviations, Engineering Change Orders, and CAPA programs, while maintaining compliance with engineering standards and regulations
Perform Computer Aided Design (CAD) work, including modeling, assembly, and drafting, and review technical documentation for accuracy
Manage obsolescence and control circuit design, handling complex component analysis and replacements
Utilize advanced PLC diagnostics and programming skills to support plant operations
Requirements:
Proficient experience in production support, troubleshooting, and project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Demonstrated expertise in the use of statistical tools, technical writing, and CAD modeling
Familiarity with engineering standards, regulatory compliance, and product lifecycle processes
Expertise in troubleshooting and support of manufacturing processes
Proficiency in statistical analysis methods and Design for Six Sigma
Strong project management skills, particularly in cost reduction and efficiency projects
Knowledge of engineering standards (ASME Y15.4) and regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO, cGMP)
Advanced CAD skills and technical writing ability
Skilled in PLC diagnostics and programming, with strong software proficiency
Advanced knowledge and emerging expertise in areas such as NPI processes, engineering standards, and CAPA execution
Strong familiarity with FDA and ISO regulatory requirements and compliance standards
Proficient in CAD software and PLC programming
Ability to perform complex design analysis and manage component obsolescence
