Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, testing, and support of electrical systems and components critical to our cutting-edge aerospace technologies. Your expertise will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and validate electrical systems and wiring harnesses in compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, systems, and software engineers to integrate electrical solutions effectively
  • Support prototype build and testing activities, analysing test data and implementing design improvements as necessary
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation including schematics, specifications, and test reports
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure system performance and reliability
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to aerospace electrical engineering
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and promote best engineering practices across projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Proven experience in electrical design and development, preferably within aerospace, defence, or related engineering sectors
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit design principles
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC, MIL-STD, or equivalent aerospace regulations
  • Competency in using engineering tools such as CAD software and electrical simulation packages
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities efficiently

Nice to have

  • Experience working on aerospace or defence projects
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI considerations and testing procedures
  • Professional engineering accreditation (e.g., IET Chartered Engineer status) is an advantage
