Completes engineering projects such as NPIs, Engineering Changes, RFQ responses, Consults the production and repair teams on best practices etc.

Job Responsibility

  • Completes engineering projects such as NPIs, Engineering Changes, RFQ responses, Consults the production and repair teams on best practices etc.
  • Assists/Leads in the development of manufacturing and assembly methods by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling of electrical components
  • while complying with customer requirements and soliciting operator input
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research
  • applying knowledge of electricity and materials
  • Validates personnel, system's, production equipment and test capabilities to insure the successful on boarding of new customer products/builds
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends
  • recommending actions
  • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Assists in the quality assurance process by designing, developing and providing training on electrical testing methods
  • testing finished products and system capabilities
  • Participate and lead NPI, RFQ, Engineering Changes, Project Management, Troubleshooting, Kaizen activities
  • Creates and maintains BOM structures within ERP system
  • Maintains product and company reputation by assuring compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Participates/leads LEAN projects on a regular basis
  • Works with vendors to create and deliver solutions for customers
