Job Description

A highly experienced Electrical Engineer is sought to support software and electronics engineering for advanced embedded and electrical systems in high-reliability aerospace and defense applications. This role combines real-time embedded software development with electrical hardware design, including power systems, circuit design, and system integration. The engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to architect, implement, and test complex systems spanning embedded software, firmware, and electronic hardware for mission-critical prototypes. An active Top Secret clearance or higher is required for this position.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to define system architectures and derive software and hardware requirements from high-level system designs
  • Design, simulate, and implement analog, digital, and power circuits, including schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Conduct system trade studies and performance benchmarking across hardware and software implementations
  • Debug, characterize, and qualify new circuits and embedded systems
  • Utilize laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators for validation and troubleshooting
  • Document designs, test procedures, results, and system performance metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in: Circuit architectures and algorithms, Device layout, Analog electronics, Digital electronics, Power electronics, Electronic test equipment usage, General analog and digital electronics, New circuit characterization and qualification, New circuit debugging, Radiation-hardened electronics, Reconfigurable circuits, SPICE simulation, Circuit board design using Mentor Graphics Xpedition, DxDesigner, or similar tools
  • Active Top Secret clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with Real-Time Embedded Systems (RTOS, VxWorks, Xenomai, Linux)
  • C/C++ programming experience
