Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in optimizing electrical project designs for a leading energy sector client. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in the Shaybah field, located in the heart of the Rub Al-Khali desert, ensuring compliance with international standards and enhancing operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Review design packages for electrical systems and equipment, including Power & Distribution Transformers, motors, generators, High voltage/low voltage switchgear/Motor Control Center (MCC), distribution network, control equipment, and power outlets
  • Prepare the Project Design Basis Document as per the project scope
  • Compile the entire project load lists based on the project scope
  • Produce technical reports and specifications for electrical equipment not covered by Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES) and Material Specifications (SAMSS)
  • Manage electrical activities of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors during the Front-End Engineering Development (FEED) and design phase
  • Conduct analysis of major equipment selected in the design package
  • Review and respond to technical queries
  • Monitor and review contractor performance and work quality
  • Ensure contractor design work complies with standards (SAES, SAMSS) and applicable codes/regulations
  • Assist Project Engineers in evaluating Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and Award Recommendations (AR)
  • Review and evaluate Change Orders for compliance with standards and budget alignment
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams to ensure facility integrity concerning HSE
  • Provide technical assurance for electrical discipline deliverables
  • Prepare approvals of electrical engineering packages prior to construction issuance
  • Lead initiatives for improvements in installations or modifications to enhance existing facilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 20-25 years of experience in design, engineering, and construction
  • Aramco experience preferred
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer is desirable
