We are seeking Electrical Engineers to join our Maritime Design & Engineering team. The Maritime Design and Engineering team draws on the combined strength of BMT and AMT, bringing together more than 40 years of experience across Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, and Combat Systems/C4I Engineering to meet growing industry demand. In this role you will work on a diverse range of exciting projects, in support of a wide range of Australian and regional Defence programs, both for new construction, and for sustaining and upgrading current ships of the RAN Fleet and for regional Navies.
Job Responsibility:
Perform specialist electrical design and engineering in support of the integration of equipment and systems on naval vessels
Provide electrical engineering support and guidance within whole of ship design teams involving all AMT technical disciplines of naval architecture, electrical, mechanical and combat systems integration
Undertake management of engineering projects from engineering investigations, through design concepts and OEM interaction, all the way through preliminary and detail design to production implementation and customer acceptance
Represent AMT on a professional and technical basis with our Defence/Navy clients, with our customers within the defence Industry and with the broader OEM and system supplier community
Requirements:
A Degree in Electrical Engineering
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status
Capability to design, document and deliver technical projects
Exposure to Power and Controls Systems design
Excellent written communication and interpersonal abilities
Well-developed problem diagnosis and solving skills
Effective time management skills and strong attention to detail

Australian Citizenship
Australian Defence clearance or have the eligibility to gain a defence clearance
