Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
6+ years of experience in electrical design
PE license preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
Proficiency in REVIT, Design Master, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with ComCheck and applicable building codes and standards

Job Responsibility

Lead design and documentation of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and life safety
Perform complex design calculations and QA/QC reviews
Attend and contribute to client meetings, construction site visits, and coordination sessions
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and attend client/site meetings
Guide junior engineers and support project delivery
Utilize REVIT, Design Master, and Bluebeam for design and documentation
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
Track project progress using Ajera and internal projection tools
Support department standards development and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

Registered PE in the State of Arizona
Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited engineering program (Architectural Engineering Degree preferred)
Excellent skills designing electrical systems: Lighting and control, power, power distribution, HVAC coordination, food service equipment coordination, fire alarm, etc.
Working knowledge of current versions of Revit and AutoCAD
Ability to apply logic, reasoning, and organizational skills to structure concepts & ideas into deliverables
Working knowledge of COMcheck and applicable energy codes
Working knowledge with NEC and NFPA Code Standards
Working knowledge of Excel, OneNote, Word, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Responsibility

Apply strong technical design skills and knowledge to produce accurate and timely project deliverables
Support project requirements with client interface, field investigation, basis of design narratives, development of electrical construction design documents that comply with all applicable codes and standards, review submittals, and support the project through construction completion
Design projects in Revit and AutoCAD for compliance with city, state, and national building codes, compliance with owner standards, and industry construction standards (NEC, NFPA, IECC, IBC, LEED, etc.)
Provide design information and effectively delegate work to production support staff as applicable
Provide a leadership role to share your knowledge with other design staff
Meet with and interact with clients and project stakeholders
Communicate with manufacturers and contractors to stay abreast of the latest trends and electrical systems technology
Coordinate and perform construction administration tasks internally & externally, enabling a successful project outcome
