The Electrical Engineer is a key member of a cross-disciplinary team in supporting the operational maintenance of Safran Cockpit, Navigation, Computer, and Calculator for military and commercial aircraft.
Job Responsibility:
Driving the design of test benches, test boxes and tools necessary for the maintenance of products
Ensuring the maintenance of the products are up to the Safran standard and specification
Work with minimum supervision
Occasionally serve as the lead engineer on moderate complexity projects
Validate the test equipment are properly maintain yearly
Identify the risks associated with the maintenance procedure and products
Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop test equipment and tools for new Entry-In-Service
Product design includes Electrical Requirements Capture, Digital Design, High Power Design, Analog Design, Schematic Capture, and PCB layout
Perform operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment or systems
Produce engineering estimates for individual tasks up to complete electronic designs
Ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects to achieve the company's strategic and financial goals
Provide support and relevant documentation to the other engineering teams (such as software, mechanical, and materials) to develop and modify new and existing test equipment
Perform product troubleshooting and lab testing
Prepare, review, and approve documentation, test procedures, etc. to define and validate test equipment
Provide technical support, interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams, operations, quality, program management, suppliers and customers to resolve problems and implement solutions
Evaluate test equipment design changes for impact to product design, cost, and schedule
Demonstrate an understanding of internal processes and methods and tools
Ensures work complies to company policies and processes
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited course of study or related field required
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Ability to analyze incident and propose technical solutions
In-depth knowledge and experience in aerospace or electrical system
Knowledge of production and repair process in the aeronautic environment
Experience in analog circuit design (digital is a plus), which includes DC and AC circuits design, DC – DC converter power supply design, constant current source design, FPGAs
Knowledge of civil avionics digital interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, A429)
Working knowledge of computer hardware design and interfacing
microcontrollers
embedded communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, ARINC)
Knowledge of civil avionics analog interfaces (thermocouple, synchro, shunt, etc) and discrete interfaces
