As an Electrical Engineer - Hands, you will push the boundaries of what’s possible in robotics by helping to design a highly dexterous hand. You’ll design and integrate electrical systems that operate at the edge of performance, reliability, and manufacturability—ensuring that every component, layout, and system meets the demands of advanced humanoid robotics.
Job Responsibility:
Own of schematics, layout, prototyping, up to and including developing key testing and validation requirements with the manufacturing team
Design advanced PCB layouts for sensing, actuation, and compute modules in highly space-constrained under environmentally challenging conditions
Build real-time embedded systems using microcontrollers and high-speed digital interfaces
Debug, characterize, and optimize across thermal, EMI, and signal-integrity domains
Develop rapid prototypes, validation rigs, and custom tools to accelerate iteration
Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and AI teams to bring robots to life
Requirements:
Extensive experience in electrical system design for robotics or consumer electronics
Deep understanding of power electronics, signal integrity, and mixed-signal circuit design
Hands-on experience debugging and validating hardware (use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
Experience designing under constraints (size, weight, power, thermal, etc.)
History of successfully moving from prototyping to production with high reliability
Comfort working fast‑paced environments with tight timelines and high technical complexity
Excellent communication and teamwork, especially across hardware, mechanical, and software domains
Minimum Bachelors EE degree, Masters preferred
Knowledge of Altium, Python, LTSpice
Nice to have:
Preference for prior experience with tactile sensing systems
