Job Description:

The candidate will be providing medium voltage electrical engineering design services for facilities, industrial plants, water and wastewater facilities, and airports. The candidate will work with the President, Chief Engineer, and Senior Engineers who will provide guidance and supervision. The candidate will have the opportunity to take a leadership role in projects with other design engineers, sub-consultants and clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with a team of engineers and designers to design, modify, and analyze new and existing medium voltage electrical systems
  • Investigate, trouble-shoot, and solve a wide variety of electrical engineering issues
  • Be the project lead responsible for ensuring projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget
  • Prepare and review detailed calculations, including three phase power studies, short circuit, voltage drop, motor starting and protective relay settings
  • Prepare documentation for design input for drawing production
  • Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation
  • Perform Construction Management duties including shop drawing review, inspections, as-built reviews and manual reviews

Requirements:

  • A BSEE from an ABET accredited university
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The candidate should be a self-starter who is willing to learn and ready to work
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship or other immigration assistance

Nice to have:

Masters degree is preferred
