Job Description

Join a friendly UK Earthing & Lightning team in South Wales! You'll be working on site surveys, designs and having a real HV impact. We provide mentoring and flexible working.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the delivery of earthing system studies in line with UK standards and DNO requirements
  • Taking part in HV site surveys with support from senior team members, including soil resistivity testing, earthing impedance measurements, continuity checks and visual inspections
  • Helping to develop earthing system designs from early concepts through to detailed design
  • Producing clear, well-structured technical reports and documentation
  • Working closely with colleagues to solve engineering problems and support project delivery
  • Supporting project tracking activities such as actions, risks, issues and schedules

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • A developing understanding of the UK electricity transmission and distribution network
  • Comfortable producing clear technical reports and documentation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Curious, proactive and keen to learn
  • A full UK driving license and own transport are required

Nice to have

  • Any experience with earthing studies or site surveys is a bonus
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools is helpful
