Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and company SOPs
Train operators and technicians on electrical practices, safety, and standard procedures
Enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S) standards across the production area
Act as a role model by demonstrating discipline, professionalism, and ethical behavior
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work culture on the shop floor
Read, interpret and implement electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in machines, equipment, panels, and shop-floor installations
Support installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability
Supervise and manage day-to-day production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets
Allocate manpower, monitor productivity, and ensure optimal utilization of resources
Track production metrics, prepare daily reports, and escalate issues proactively
Support implementation of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinate with planning, stores, quality, and engineering teams to ensure smooth production flow
Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve individual and departmental goals
Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
3–4 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering and production supervision within manufacturing, heavy engineering, mining equipment, or construction equipment industries
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and industrial electrical systems
Excellent capability in electrical drawing reading, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with control panels, motors, starters, VFDs, sensors, and industrial wiring
Basic understanding of production processes and manufacturing operations
Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts (5S, Kaizen, standard work, waste elimination)
Safety-conscious with attention to quality and discipline
Very good communication skills (verbal and written)
Positive attitude with high ownership and accountability
Team player with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proven ability to supervise shop-floor teams and manage daily production activities
Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead by example and manage cross-functional interactions effectively
Nice to have:
Additional training in industrial automation, safety, Production supervisory role or Lean manufacturing is an advantage
Prior experience handling shop-floor manpower and production targets is preferred
