Job Responsibility

  • Evaluating, promoting and improving designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturing improvements, increased quality, and value of released products and systems (not part of gate processes and product development)
  • Implementing the value engineering strategy and system standardization vision
  • Identifying and driving cost reduction initiatives with system standards, supply chain, and operations, defining and maintaining the project schedule for assigned cost reduction programs, monitor progress, and drive execution
  • Recommending design/components reviews to meet production requirements for products or processes including developing test plans, coordinating engineering document changes
  • Leading Value Analysis and Value Engineering projects with production and execution team
  • Developing modular portfolio/Standardization of part families to support Engineering teams and exploring new cost-effective technologies and sources with Sourcing team
  • Collaborating suppliers to find cost-effective materials or processes, identify cost drivers and propose alternatives

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Excitation Systems main components and engineering/system
  • Proven experience in Value Analysis/Value Engineering, design and cost optimization
  • Proven experience in cost modeling / should costing and explore new cost effective technologies and sources
  • Some experience or flair for working with engineering tools (M-CAD/E-CAD) and an understanding of configuration/customization
  • Have CAD and CAE software experiences
  • Have solid PC skills with knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
  • Good communication and training skills for engaging with a global user base
  • You are at ease communicating in English and Czech
  • You hold current licenses and country-specific VISA/work permit required in the Czech Republic
  • Bachelor's
