We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our friendly and supportive Sydney Buildings Team on a full-time basis. You will be a part of our multi-disciplinary team working across various building projects. The successful candidate will be able to apply their technical skills and demonstrate commitment in a way which ensures projects are thoroughly designed, personally reviewed and delivered on time. You will be expected to service projects including those of relatively large size, of high complexity and with multiple clients. The main focus for this role will be working on Data Centre design projects in NSW, Australia and Global. Our Buildings Team are involved in a vast variety of other project types including hospitals, defence, high-rise, industrial, education and others in the built environment. The successful candidate will be working in a strong team environment and will need to manage several projects at any one time. You will be self-motivated, resourceful and a great communicator. The role will enable the successful candidate to develop in a professional and personal sense and to forge a challenging and rewarding career path in a global successful consultancy.
Job Responsibility:
Provide Electrical designs for a range of building projects, including reports, studies, design calculations, mark-ups, drawings and specifications
Responsible for planning and managing projects through various project platforms
Design of lighting, LV power systems, cable containment and earthing designs using industry standard software such as PowerCAD, AGI/Dialux
Working in Revit, Revizto and other design coordination programs
Represent Stantec externally to Clients, playing an active role in managing these relationships
Liaise with authorities and contractors
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor degree of Electrical Engineering
Ideally have around 3-5 years experience working in a consulting environment within the Building Services industry
Willingness to establish and maintain strong client relationships to formulate repeat opportunities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive, can-do attitude, team player and strong work ethic
