Job Description

Are you an Electrical Engineer who prefers the practical side of building services? We are a specialized electrical contractor firm known for tackling technically demanding projects. We don't just design on paper; we deliver integrated power, lighting, and communication systems that work in the real world. We are looking for an engineer who wants to move beyond 'theoretical' consulting and get closer to the delivery, commissioning, and constructability of major building projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and refine electrical system designs, including LV distribution, switchboard schedules, and lighting calculations
  • Provide engineering solutions to complex site-based challenges, ensuring designs are optimized for installation and maintenance
  • Work alongside project managers and site foremen to ensure engineering specifications align with project timelines and budgets
  • Ensure all installations meet rigorous safety standards and local building codes (e.g., AS/NZS 3000)
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance or reduce costs through innovative technical alternatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4+ years in Building Services
  • Proficiency in PowerCAD, AGi32, or Bluebeam
  • Understanding of Revit is highly regarded

Nice to have

  • RPEQ/NER registration
  • Understanding of Revit
