MEYERS+ ENGINEERS is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Associate to join our San Francisco office and work on world class design projects with a leading MEP design firm in the architectural engineering consulting industry. We are looking for a technically proficient engineer with leadership qualities and project management experience on projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture and engineering related to the design and construction of highly sustainable, high performance, innovative, and iconic buildings. Job Responsibility:
Conceptualize electrical and fire alarm systems and communicate design options to stakeholders
Develop high quality electrical systems construction documents
Develop fire alarm system designs and sequences of operation
Prepare electrical technical specifications and calculations
Project team organization and management
Project planning and forecasting
Complete projects profitably and on schedule
Develop new client relationships
Participate in business development activities
Active participant in firm leadership and management
Develop proposals and interview for project opportunities
Present to clients, staff and at industry events
Provide mentorship, training and development for staff
Project quality control
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
7+ Years' Experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
LEED Accreditation
Experience working on a variety of building types through all phases of a project from schematic design through construction administration
Excellent communications skills to enable successful in-person dialogue and relationships with owners, architects and other consultants
Inspire and motivate staff – Team player
Lead and manage projects successfully and profitably
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
