As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the development and execution of instrumentation and electrical design packages for industrial automation and control system projects. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop scalable, compliant, and manufacturable solutions supporting PLC, SCADA, DCS, MCC, and industrial control applications. Requirements:
5+ years of experience in industrial electrical design, instrumentation, or controls engineering environments
Strong experience designing industrial electrical and automation systems using EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, Siemens NX, or similar platforms
Proven experience with PLC control systems, motor control schematics, low-voltage power distribution, instrumentation, and industrial networking
Working knowledge of industrial automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMI, VFDs, and remote I/O architectures
Strong understanding of NEC, ISA, API, PIP, UL, and NEMA standards and their application in industrial environments
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, control narratives, technical specifications, and engineering standards
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
Nice to have:
Experience leading electrical and controls design efforts for industrial automation projects
Experience supporting system integration, panel fabrication, commissioning, or startup activities
Familiarity with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and hazardous area design requirements
Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or other industrial automation platforms
Exposure to industrial process industries including oil & gas, chemical, water/wastewater, manufacturing, or utilities
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design, or related technical discipline
Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and continuous improvement mindset
