As our new Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the Industrial EI&C team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.
Job Responsibility:
In-depth knowledge of heavy industrial and process plant projects
A fundamental knowledge of key Australian Standards
Client interfacing
Experience in detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems
Experience with power systems software
Requirements:
Completed a Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia
A minimum of 5 years’ post graduate experience working on industrial projects, delivering process plant projects, energy sector, water sector or mining projects ensuring quality deliverables while meeting agreed schedules
Applied knowledge of ‘in-plant’ electrical distribution (MV and LV systems) and motor control systems
Applied knowledge of relevant standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1 and AS/NZS 2067
Experience across all project development phases including concept, FEED and detail design
Ability to proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers to support project deliverables
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Nice to have:
Understanding of renewable energy, industrial communications systems, SCADA, PLC/DCS, Hazardous Areas, and Functional Safety would be viewed favourably
