Job Description

This is your chance to join one of the UK’s fastest growing I&C multi-utility network construction and network adoption providers. They specialise in meter asset management and meter operation and have worked alongside some major energy suppliers to provide innovative customer-focused processes to their services. As the Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll report to the Electrical Design Manager and support the design process for producing Multi-utility quotes for new projects and developments to existing projects. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance of the company’s tendering processes to develop intended outcomes in a timely and effective way, working as part of the Tendering and Design teams.

Job Responsibility

Undertake tendering, design studies specification of electrical distribution networks and substations from LV to 33kV
Work as part of the design team, assisting and supporting them to develop multi-utility network solutions
Complete network designs and approvals in line with NERS Design requirements
Produce design specifications in line with the company’s procedures and ensure that all information is available for the installation process
Be able to liaise with DNOs/IDNOs regarding their requirements and specifications to undertake electrical network design activities

Requirements

3-5 years + previous experience within a multi-utility or electrical tendering and design sector
Strong technical background and understanding of multi-utility or electric industry
Excellent knowledge around appropriate legislation (CDM, NRSWA) as well as health and safety standards
IT literate
Commercial awareness in the utilities sector
Strong written and verbal communication skills
