As an Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be supporting the Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs on the System Integration, Test, and Readiness (SITR) contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the Engineering Products for Design Verification Testing of Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) products in the GMD Development and Integration Lab (GDIL).You will assist in lab build-up and execution of GDIL integration for the upgrades, both hardware and software, of all GMD elements.You will develop and release Engineering required to support test execution and be positioned to support the customer and execute critical testing in different lab environments.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs on the System Integration, Test, and Readiness (SITR) contract
Responsible for the Engineering Products for Design Verification Testing of Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) products in the GMD Development and Integration Lab (GDIL)
Assist in lab build-up and execution of GDIL integration for the upgrades, both hardware and software, of all GMD elements
Develop and release Engineering required to support test execution and be positioned to support the customer and execute critical testing in different lab environments
Provide Integration and Execution Support in a lab environment.
Collaborate with teams of engineers, system administrators, network engineers and test engineers, operators, product subject matter experts and subcontractors to coordinate all phases of integration, test, checkout and verification.
Demonstrate expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network devices and systems, including routers, switches, firewalls.
Utilize best practices for engineering development and configuration management
Develop, review and release engineering documentation.
Work effectively in a rapid pace team environment.
Support relevant meetings, reviews, briefings and working groups.
Requirements:
US Citizenship required
Understands electronic/electrical system design
Understands mechanical system design
Completely understands network system design from architecture development to component design
Completely understands communications, network concepts, and principles
Experience developing engineering drawings and release (AutoCAD)
Experience and understanding of cyber security requirements and STIG implementation
Must meet at a minimum DoD 8570 IAT level 2 certification requirements (e.g. CompTIA Security+ or higher-level certification)
Strong problem-solving skills
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. CompTIA CCNA certification
Experience in CISCO, Nexus, and/or Palo Alto firewalls
